Senofu Peoples

This pole has a close resemblance to ceremonial poles carried by men belonging to the powerful Poro society of the Senofu peoples. Complete examples show totemic animals as finials for the poles. The number of beveled rings demonstrates to what initiation level in the Poro society the bearer of such poles belongs.
