Why is New Paltz using the Degree Works Progress Report?

  • It gives access to effective degree planning through an online system.
  • To facilitate graduation completion.
  • To avoid graduation deficiencies.
  • Links to the catalog for the description and the schedule of classes.
  • Courses with prerequisites are marked with an asterisk (*) next to the course number.
  • Displays the students' overall and major GPA.
  • All students, faculty, and staff will be viewing the same document.
  • It allows students to assess their degree progress at other SUNY institutions.

Who can use the Degree Works Progress Report?

Undergraduate students who matriculated at SUNY New New Paltz, beginning fall 2013 and beyond, will use the Degree Works progress report to check their progress toward degree completion.

All students will access their progress reports through my.newpaltz.edu.

What is the “What If” button?

The “What-if” button is used to explore a potential major. “What-if” audits show requirements and how your courses will apply.

Do I have to be on campus to use the Degree Works Progress Report?

No. You can access the Degree Worksprogress report through my.newpaltz.edu.

How do I print my progress report?

Click on the "Print" button. When the progress report opens in a new window, you then select print.
