Saturdays of Service (SoS) began in fall 2013 and provides students with an opportunity to volunteer in the Hudson Valley community over the course of one semester in a fun and meaningful way. This semester-long initiative gives students the opportunity to take part in a number of volunteer, social, and educational activities to better the community and themselves.
Each semester 11-20 students are selected to participate in themed volunteer activities- past themes have included food security, housing and homelessness, mental health, education, food sustainability, environmental sustainability, and intensives with Seed Song Farm and Chiz's Heart Street. The program takes place over 4 days (one Friday night and three Saturdays). Applications are available in September for Fall and December for Spring.
