What is the Welcome Center and what role does a Welcome Center Greeter play?
The Welcome Center desk is located on the first floor of the Hopfer Admission Center where our Greeters play a key role on our campus. Whether it is a new staff member, current student, general visitor, or a prospective student seeking information, Welcome Center Greeters are there to provide them with information in a patient, friendly, accurate, and helpful manner. At times, the Welcome Center may be the first point of contact someone has with our campus and as such it is important that all Greeters make callers and visitors their first priority in order to leave a positive lasting impression.
Greeter responsibilities include:
- Answering phones
- Greeting walk-in visitors
- Providing information such as directions, academic and cultural offerings, and event details
- Managing displays and literature racks
- Creating a welcoming environment for any and all visitors
- Serve as a back up for General Campus Tours
