The generous financial support of individuals and businesses gives the school that margin of excellence that it could not achieve within the college's operating budget alone. Scholarships, technology, student development and activities, and outside speakers are made possible by donors who believe in the School of Business and want to invest in its future.
Whether your initial investment is $100 or multi-millions, your support has a major impact on the SUNY New Paltz School of Business program and our students. There are dozens of ways you can help! Please see below.
All gifts are tax deductible, and your check should be made payable to the SUNY New Paltz Foundation/School of Business. Please mail donations to:

HALL OF FAME
This is the school’s largest, most anticipated event! The event is well attended, with more than 200 business professionals attending. This annual event acknowledges the achievements of those who have made significant contributions to their respective business professions. We honor a Business Person, Alumnus/a, and Student of the Year, and present a Dean’s Award of Excellence. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
BUSINESS PLAN CONTEST
Through this contest, teams of students, with the help of a business mentor, research and develop business plans that are feasible, profitable and innovative. Students present their plans to a panel of judges consisting of business leaders for the chance to win a scholarship. Past participants stated that the contest is a great opportunity to gain experience that cannot be learned in the classroom, and to learn important skills, such as teamwork, communication, and leadership. Naming and sponsorship opportunities are available.
INVESTMENT COMPETITION
Students gain hands on experience by using financial software to create and manage portfolios throughout the fall semester. They present their strategy and results to a panel of judges and the winning team is awarded a scholarship. Students who participate improve their ability to work in teams and effectively present their strategy and results. Naming and sponsorship opportunities are available.
DEBATE COMPETITION
Teams of students debate ethical topics in the spring and fall semesters in front of business leaders who serve as judges and provide invaluable feedback to our students. Students who participate refine their research, presentation and debate skills. The winning team receives a scholarship. Naming and sponsorship opportunities are available.
STUDENT ASSOCIATIONS
The school’s business student associations: organize networking events and professional conferences, such as the Business Day Conference and Accounting & Finance Career Symposium; hold workshops; present guest speakers; attend conferences; visit companies; and compete nationally and regionally. Our American Marketing Association (AMA) receives several awards at the AMA International Collegiate Conference each spring. Naming and event sponsorship opportunities are available.
SCHOLARSHIPS
In a world where learning is the key to success in virtually every endeavor, there is no gift more precious than that of education. Scholarships continue to inspire and change the lives of countless students every year. Naming opportunities are available.
