Student Conduct Board Members

The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards trains students selected by the Student Association to serves as decision makers for specific cases associated with alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct/Handbook.  These students hear statements of involved parties and witnesses, and collaboratively (with other board members) assess the preponderance of the evidence in making a determination of responsibility. They also advise on what sanctions, and special conditions, are applicable in findings of responsibility.

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated student with a minimum GPA of 2.00,
no active disciplinary sanctions within the last year.

Student Advocates

Student Advocates are undergraduate students who are trained to advise students who have received paperwork regarding an alleged violation of the Student Code of Conduct/Handbook. They can work with students confidentially to review student rights and responsibilities in the student conduct process, and prepare them for upcoming Initial Conference and/or Hearings. In some cases, student advocates may accompany students as a support person to these meetings should the student request it and the advocate be available.  Student Advocates are trained and supervised by the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated student with a minimum GPA of 2.50, no active disciplinary sanctions within the last year.
